How Do you cut out a pic In photoshop??

Yeah Ive been messing with the photoshop and cant figure out how to cut out a pic. I cant find a cutting tool or anything like that... Major propz in advance

I belive it's called the "Polygonal Lasso Tool"

i think its underneath the square or circle (1st tool i belive)

so basically the second tool down the left side... you might have to right-click and select it

then keep clicking where u want the lines to connect and once you click where u started it'll select everything u selected
